Day 1

Today's Activities: Airport to Hotel Transfer (Harbin), St. Sofia Orthodox Church, Siberian Tiger Park, Sun Island Snow Sculptures, The Ice and Snow World

- St. Sofia Orthodox Church: The St.Sofia Orthodox Church is the largest Orthodox Church in the Far East. It is a perfect example of Byzantine architecture with a height of 53m. . Under the bright sun, the church, together with the square around it, reminds the Chinese, bizarrely, of the Red Square in Moscow. Now it serves as an architectural art museum run by the provincial government.
- Siberian Tiger Park: Siberian Tiger Park in Harbin protects more than five hundred endangered purebred Siberian tigers. It is the largest wild natural park for the northeast tiger in the world. You can take a special vehicle into the area where you can closely watch the tigers, what's more exciting, there is a series of animals you can choose to feed tigers. The scene is unique in the world.
- Sun Island Snow Sculptures : The Sun Island Park is the site of the Snow Sculpture Exposition displaying a wonderful snow world. It is a famous snow art museum and many gorgeous snow sculptures have been placed at the expo's main square known as the 'Romantic and Marvelous Area”. It is a wonderful choice to visit those art works in the date time.
- The Ice and Snow World: Located in the Western Region of the Sun Island at the north bank of the Songhua River, the Ice and Snow World is the dragon-head brand of the Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival. At night, it provides visitors a good opportunity to appreciate a galaxy of unique ice and snow art. Making use of the features of ice and snow, by way of multidimensional presentation methods, these exquisitelyman-made ice and snow art works turn the place into a dreamlike world of pure whiteness and gleaming crystal.

Some basic Tips

Run/trail colour coding - Green slopes are the easiest, then blue, red and blacks are the most difficult. Ski with care and choose the right grade to start.
Dress Code - Stay warm! It is best to check the weather forecast every morning before you get dressed and ski.
Get sunglasses for the sun and goggles for the shade/cloud.
Have a thermal layer next to your skin instead of a cotton under layer.
Wear one pair of socks is enough- more will actually make your feet colder!
Make sure your outside layer is waterproof.

Tips for the Yabuli Ski Resorts

Winter season starts form Nov to second year Apr. It is also a good choice for fishing, hiking, swimming, grass-gliding and golf from June to September.
Beginners can take training class or hire a private coach.
